SCA Heraldric Banner for Ulfr Grimsson of the Kingdom of Caid. Acrylic paint on black cotton canvas. The dog is three layers of paint to create a solid white. The spear is two layers of white and then one layer of yellow so it would be nice and bright.
This is a SCA medieval reenactment heraldric banner created for Ulfr Grimsson of the Barony of Starkhafn in the Kingdom of Caid. Â It is painted in acrylic fabric paints on cotton canvas for durability and washability. Â The tabs on the top are loops for hanging the banner.
I started this project back in March of 2015, and those of you who follow my FaceBook page may have seen the WIP images at the time. Â I finally finished it at the end of June, and am just now getting around to uploading it to sharing the finished photo.

Work-In-Progress 3Work-In-Progress 2. Redraw of the banner, larger so it will fill more of the space, also snarling as requested. It is taped around a piece of cardboard for easier painting.Work-In-Progress 1. This will be a canvas banner with a friend’s son’s device, a pole dancing dog. Delightful! At this stage it is chalk drawn on black canvas, and I was wondering if I should redraw it a little bigger.
