1880's Overbust WIP3, Current Work Status

I am currently working on flossing the corset.  I used a very basic flossing stitch on the tops of the boning because they will be mostly hidden by the lace edging on the top edge of the corset.  I am planning to add more decorative elements to the flossing along the bottom, but I’m not quite decided on the exact pattern.  I’m thinking geometric, but we’ll see how it comes out tomorrow. 1880's Overbust WIP2, Current Work Status

The 1880′s overbust is ready for boning, flossing, and embroidery.  Unfortunately, I am low on boning and the local store where I buy it is not open Monday or Tuesday, so this project is mostly on hold until then. I still have not done a photo shoot with the new corsets, best intentions aside.  I am hoping to take photos of the steampunk corset tomorrow. 1880's Overbust WIP, Current Work Status

I’m primarily working on the 1880′s overbust corset, which needs to be out in the mail next week.  Currently the panels are about half assembled.  The cover material is a cream dupioni silk, and it will have light blue boning channel stitches, flossing, and lace along the top, plus a little embroidery. Zen Photo released a new version of their software, so I dutifully upgraded.  Immediately afterward I ran into random stuff that was no longer compatible with the site skin.  I have fixed all the errors that I could find, so if you see any, please do me a favor and let me know which page had the error.  Next time the back-end informs me that there is an update, I’ll wait until I genuinely have time to deal with it before updating. Back from Nova Albion, and Moved In

I attended the Nova Albion steampunk convention this past weekend, and it was absolutely amazing!  I met a lot of neat people, attended very entertaining panels, showed off my costuming, admired the costuming of others, danced the night away, and generally exhausted myself in the most delightful ways.  I had brought most of my sketching materials intending to draw while I was there, but I was having so much fun interacting with other people that I never got around to it.
