Absolutely any graphic editing program (including far less expensive ones) will allow you to layer in a "watermark". If you are in the market for a graphics editing program, I would search for reviews of the currently available software and compare capabilities vs. price. If you are not making digital art (and I know you prefer to get your hands dirty with real media), even a less fancy software program will probably do everything you need. I'm on Photoshop 7 that I purchased some eight or nine years ago, and it still works fine for me.I believe it is important to have some sort of graphics software when posting art images online, even if the artwork is real media, because in translating it to digital form it will need some color adjustment and editing to make it look right, and you'll want to prep the image size so its optimized for the internet. Basically, optimizing just means 72dpi, medium jpg compression, and no larger than 1000 pix per side. Generally, my images are 600-800px per side. I only go as large as 1000 if the original artwork is so large or so detailed that it doesn't look good smaller than that. If you are looking into making prints of your art, you may also be able to prepare your print files yourself.

I mentioned Photoshop because it’s one of the most common graphics editing programs, and the one I’ve always had so I tend to think of it first. I am a Civil War Reenactor who is no longer allowed to be in the ranks because I am a woman, so I have no choice but to be a civilain or a nurse. I studied costume design in college but this is my first time making a Civil War era corset. This is alos my first time doing it on my own (without anyone overlooking my work or handing me supplies) I have bookmarked all your corset tutorials and they have been such a big help! Thanks so much! :D

I adore your website!
