These corsets are styled after the fashion profiles of the late Victorian and Edwardian. Underbusts come up to right under the bust, or just a bit below. Waist cinchers usually just cover from the bottom of the rib cage to the top of the hips.

This corset is a bespoke custom commissioned underbust, with black rose brocade cover material, split metal busk, and attached garters.

This corset is a bespoke custom commissioned tight lacing underbust, using two layers of black corset coutil, with dramatic attached garters and front lacing.

Black Tight Lacing Underbust

The black tight-lacing underbust with garters is finished.  The corset is made from two layers of black coutil, with waist tape, satin ribbon edging, and lacing grommets in front and back.  All 18 bones are 1/2″ wide spring steel flats.  The garter grips are 3/4″ wide and permanently attached.  The front of the corset is at center.  The shaping is designed so it will cover low over the sides of the hips.

The current corset on the sewing machine is a plus-sized, tight-lacing underbust corset with front lacing and attached garters.  One half is laid out in the photo.  The other half is folded up under it on the right of the image.

The front of the corset is on the left, and the back is on the right.

Updated Concept Sketch

Updated on the concept sketch for the plus-sized underbust.  I was a goof-ball and didn’t look at my notes before drawing up the first sketch.  It’s supposed to be front-lacing, not busk.  The customer also decided she liked the look of curved shaping into the garters.
