I finished this locket a couple months ago, but just today realized I never posted it to my blog, so here you go.

This was a commissioned locket from Clockwork Alchemy. It took a number of tries to get David Tennant’s portrait right. For some reason I just could not get it to look like him, so I finally got out the carbon paper to mark the essential features in the right places. After that it was pencil sketch like normal, ink, and wash. It took a fraction of the time, and I was very pleased with the result.
Yesterday I created a few more mini-paintings on jewelry items, which I will have for sale at Clockwork Alchemy this coming weekend. They have all been varnished and are ready to go.
