Two snuggling minimalist bunnies, painted with a dark brown brush marker on watercolor paper.
7″x10″ Brush marker on watercolor paper.
This piece is SOLD.
I finished this locket a couple months ago, but just today realized I never posted it to my blog, so here you go.
These mini-paintings created in brown ink on watercolor paper are each about 3/4″ across and 1″ tall. The oval filigree locket which holds the paintings is 1.5″ tall and 1.25″ wide when closed.
This was created on commission.

Hello folks! These are two pairs of miniature paintings, commissioned at Clockwork Alchemy, which I will be putting in lockets as soon as they are approved by my customers. All four are slightly more than 1″ tall, drawn with a dip pen nib and then painted in an ink wash of the same color.

The lovely ladies over at MANDEM have been sharing calls for art with me, so I have decided to start participating in some MailArt projects. My first foray into MailArt is for the “Traces” call, presented by 5Blanks. The deadline isn’t until June 15th, so while there’s not much time left, if you want to get into the project look at the details and get your art over there.
At this point it does not even have postage on it, because, frankly, I’m not sure how much postage it will need. I look forward to seeing the image posted on the other end, and what traces of its travels will mark its surface.
My submission to the project is a minimalist brush marker red fox trotting across the paper.

When the fox passes on it’s silent path, in no time at all, all that remains are the barest Traces.

This morning I finished the large version of a logo for Pawsitive Memories, a pet hospice and memorial service based out of San Antonia, Texas. The 7″x10″ proof version was scanned for use as their logo, and the 16″x20″ large painting is ready for framing.
Both paintings are painted in watercolor on watercolor paper.
I am honored to have been chosen to paint the new logo for such a wonderful business.

I specialize in realistic, fine art treasures, portraits, wildlife art, and fantasy art, Celtic knotwork, and abstract minimalist art. My primary mediums include colored pencil, ink, and oil paint. Examples of my past work are displayed in these galleries. I am no longer selling art or taking commissions due to health problems.

This is the very first piece I have made like this. I plan to have a number available at Clockwork Alchemy, including blanks upon which to commission mini-art. I have a whole pile of lockets, and a few cameo-backs like this one.
