Yay for decent brushes! I was able to finish the second wing and the tail with the level of detail I had expected to accomplish in the initial sitting. Because the upper wing was already painted in, I used medium to create layering and clean up the lines. The rest of the bird was painted by laying down the black paint for the background, and then adding white paint and mixing directly on the canvas.
