Unintended Downtime
The last two weeks were a period of unexpected down-time, first with a migraine and then a bad flu. As a result, I have had to bump the ribbon corset in favor of orders that need to go out within the next two weeks. Soon to be posted are a tight-lacing underbust for a fellow, a long-line Edwardian overbust, a back-lacing Elizabethan bodice, and a plain Elizabethan corset. If all goes as planned (which it, admittedly, rarely does), I will finish up the ribbon corset during all the scrambling with the other orders.
Among other details soon to come is a mostly-finished tutorial on how to make a lacing panel. All I need to do is draw up a couple diagrams illustrating boning placement and the size calculations. I’m hoping to post that by mid-week.
I am taking detailed photos of the underbust corset so I can write a formal tutorial on how to make a dual-core corset. I don’t have time to document it in this blog, but hopefully I’ll compile the article soon after I catch up on orders. I am also going to try and work into my schedule the time to write up a basic underbust corset drafting tutorial. It won’t be as detailed as I would like, but may be more useful for beginers anyway due to simplicity.
I also have a pet portrait to draw up sometime in the middle of all of that. ;)
