Art – Terrier

This is a back-dated post for my archive project, where I am copying over every piece of art I have ever submitted to DeviantArt, with the original submission date or watermarked year stamp, so a complete archive of my work can be found on this website, even if the item was never or is no longer displayed in my portfolios.

I never have gotten the name of the dog, but it’s a beautiful terrier. I was given a large number of very good photos to reference, but chose the head shot due to the small size of the paper.

This is a donation commission for the March of Dimes last spring in a silent auction. The individual who won the commission sent me photos late last November, and any of you who have followed my account for a while know I have not submitted any art in the time since then. This has been sitting around waiting to be drawn for so long that I felt it was only right to finish it before moving on to other art pieces begging to be created and finished.

Anyway, enjoy. I’m hoping to make time for one or two art sessions per week during the next couple months. So, here’s to hoping.
