The path to that diagnosis has been a constant battle with the health care system in the US, its reluctance to treat those who don’t have financial resources to bleed, and its reluctance to acknowledge that my illness is real and debilitating. Painting Updates - 18 November 2012

I worked on two paintings tonight. One is a continuation of the Diana Portraits project, where I laid down a second underpainting layer on a new test portrait. The other painting I worked on was the Complete Contentment Celtic piece, which is finally nearing completion.

Painting Updates - 8 October 2012

On the evening of October 8, 2012 I worked on two oil paintings. I added another layer to the book cover for Mermaid Drowning, and I resumed work on the Samhain Candles still life. I hope to have both paintings finished before the end of the month.

Mermaid Drowning Cover Art - Update 10/5/2012

My parents are preparing to publish their very first novel, and I am creating the cover art for them. The title of the novel is Mermaid Drowning. The cover art depicts the main character, Evelyn, watching the sunset at the beach with a storm looming on the horizon.

Dr. Who and Cats

These are two pairs of miniature paintings, commissioned at Clockwork Alchemy, which I will be putting in lockets as soon as they are approved by my customers. All four are slightly more than 1″ tall, drawn with a dip pen nib and then painted in an ink wash of the same color.

Steampunk-Meme Minimalist Paintings - Batch 1

Over the past two days I’ve been working on a batch of eight textured acrylic mini canvas board minimalist paintings (For being minimalist, the description sure is a mouth-full!). They are mostly on 3″x5″ canvas board, with one 4″x5″ and one 5″x7″. This entry shows the WIP photos I took along the way as I created layers.
