Art – Water Faerie
This is a back-dated post for my archive project, where I am copying over every piece of art I have ever submitted to DeviantArt, with the original submission date or watermarked year stamp, so a complete archive of my work can be found on this website, even if the item was never or is no longer displayed in my portfolios.

Entry for the elemental fairie contest being held by the All-Things-Pagan DeviantART group.
My inspiration for this piece comes more from fantasy than pagan beliefs, as I view faeries as a people who are not inherently associated with any elements in particular. However, even within those pagan beliefs is the concept that a fae might be capable of conjuring a faerie of elemental inclination. This image is descriptive of a faerie who is a magical embodiment of water, continually bringing forth water the way a normal faerie might drop magical dust.
Overall I think this drawing could be a lot better. It features some of the usual oddities when I attempt to draw anything human-like, and I very rarely draw water and it shows. Regardless, I enjoyed drawing something completely different from my ordinary, and am happy with it despite its flaws.
