This is a new logo I designed for the Center for Archaeological Research at Davis (CARD). It’s designed to be reminiscent of geometric designs found in the artwork of various Native California tribes, while being simple enough to use for various applications from literature to embroidered paraphernalia. They can use it as shown here, as a full circle design, and just the top part with the acorn and oak leave.

I created the basic form on paper, scanned it, and filled it in digitally.
