This print, Detailed Elizabethan Scrolling Floral Blackwork, is based on the blackwork embroidery on an extant Elizabethan coif. The inspiration embroidery made heavy use of metal threads, so I have chosen blackwork fill patterns to detail out the basic design.

The red linen open hood is made from 100% linen fabric, with a linen embroidered scrolling vine pattern, mostly in chain stitch, and it is entirely hand stitched with linen thread. The main seam down the center of the hood is embroidered with fishbone stitch, also using linen thread.
