Art – Visitors for Tea

This is a back-dated post for my archive project, where I am copying over every piece of art I have ever submitted to DeviantArt, with the original submission date or watermarked year stamp, so a complete archive of my work can be found on this website, even if the item was never or is no longer displayed in my portfolios.

For the record, I find stippling tremendously tedious. I’m not sure why, because I can happily tick away on fur textures for hours, but stippling bores me to tears.

The tea pot was a prop available in the classroom, and this was started as a basic exercise. The teacher said we could finish it out and use it for our homework if we wanted, so, of course that’s what I wanted to do, because I had a good part of the paper drawn on already. The rest of the image is all without direct reference of any kind.
